Cheryl Hadland
In 1990 Cheryl Hadland was a diving instructor facing a familiar challenge: childcare. Determined to provide a nurturing environment for her own children and those of her friends and neighbours, Cheryl founded a small nursery. But what began as a personal solution quickly evolved into a thriving business.

Your Company: Hadland Care Group is a company that encompasses a network of early years childcare providers. One of the primary components of Hadland Care Group is Tops Day Nurseries. This is a well-known chain of nurseries and out-of-school clubs located on the South Coast of England.
In 1998, Cheryl developed the second strand of the business and launched the training company, Aspire Training Team. Aspire offers a range of courses and apprenticeships in childcare, health and social care, and business administration. The group also includes Hadland Employment Solutions which provides nursery recruitment, including international staffing and legal services support for nurseries that covers talent acquisition, immigration, property, employment law, and business transactions.

Your passion: Beyond her professional life, Cheryl is a passionate scuba diver, skier, and choir member with a deep love for animals. She is increasingly dedicated to promoting sustainable practices in early childhood education, business, and marine conservation.

Proud Accomplishment: Tops Day Nurseries winning a Queen's Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development in 2022.
Skill to Learn: Cheryl is preparing for her 60-Meter Rebreather Qualification, a specialised dive certification for experienced divers that allows them to safely explore depths up to 60 meters.
